        Overview

Congratulations on your purchase of Magic keyboard. This Magic keyboard combines a standard keyboard layout with 5 Hot Keys. With these easy-to-use Hot Keys, you can fully maximize use of your Magic keyboard.

        System Requirements

        Installation

Please follow the instructions below on how to install Magic keyboard software to your PC system.

  1. Please insert the floppy (Disk 1) included in your package,  into your floppy drive.

  2. The system will run the setup.exe once after the setup.exe in the Disk 1 is clicked twice.

  3. Follow all the on-screen instructions. (You will be asked to insert Disk 2 during the installation period.)

  4. A label containing the serial number is located on the back of the keyboard. Please do not remove the label from the keyboard. The label information will be important for you to return the keyboard to manufacturer for repairing, when you have any problem with this keyboard.

Once the software installation for Magic keyboard is completed, the icon is shown on the WindowsÒ taskbar. Then you can start to enjoy your Magic keyboard.

        Uninstallation

From the Windows Start Menu, locate uninstall under Programs Files\Magic keyboard, and click on  Magic keyboard Uninstaller  to uninstall the driver.

        Setting Menu 

Click on the Magic keyboard icon on the taskbar will pop up the setting menu.

1. Options Open the configuration dialog box.
2. On-Screen KB Enable/Disable On-Screen Keyboard . Default Setting is "Enable".
3. Num Lock Status Turn on/off Num Lock Status icon on the WindowsÒ taskbar.
4. Caps Lock Status Turn on/off Caps Lock Status icon on the WindowsÒ taskbar.
5. Scroll Lock Status Turn on/off Scroll Lock Status icon on the WindowsÒ taskbar.
6. Help This option is to launch the on-line help which will help you to use Magic keyboard well.
7. About This option is to show the information about the Magic keyboard driver.
8. Exit  This option is to close Multimedia Keyboard driver and remove it from your computer memory. If you want to reload Magic keyboard driver, please use Windows Explorer and double click the file "c:\Program Files\Magic keyboard" or restart your system to run it.

Configuration

1. WWW Get on default Internet browser.
2. Mail Launches the default email application.
3. Option Programmable hotkey.
4. Vol- Decreases the audio volume.
5. Vol+ Increase the audio volume.

How to configure the programmable hotkey :

In the options dialog box, there are 3 ways to create your own hot key functions including : Preset Function, Shortcut and Macro. Easily choose the way and the function you want to use please refer to the following steps.

1. Select Function Key: Please select one "Function Key" which you want to re-program the hotkey  function. There is one hotkey in this drop-down list, P1(#1).

2. Preset Function : The Magic keyboard provides 21 functions. You can easily re-program the hotkey function from choosing one from this function list.

3. Shortcut : This function provides you to define personal access to another application or document. By clicking the browse button , then you can select  an execution file to be launched by hotkey.

4. Macro : Macro can be used to enter commonly used words, lines of text or symbols with a single press of a key.

Press Apply to confirm a new function for that hotkey and continue to define other functions   for  other hotkeys.  

Press OK to exit this Function Setting dialog and save all changes.

Press Load Default Setting to re-load default function settings for hotkeys.

Display setting

 Startup Settings:

Check this box if you wish to launch the On-Screen KB when Magic keyboard start.

On Screen Status Display Settings:

The On-Screen Status Display (OSD) informs you of what function is being performed when a hotkey or On-Screen KB button is pressed. This is only displayed when a hotkey has been pressed. It appears at the left bottom of the screen for 0.5 second default timeout.

1. Status Display Timeout: 

The default display timeout is 0.5 second. However, you can change it from 0.5 second to 5 seconds.

2.Test

The Test button can be used to view the OSD before changes are made.
